BFS Ireland appoints Ala Browne as Business Development Manager for Greater Dublin area and Eastern Ireland

Bibby Financial Services Ireland, a leading provider of funding solutions to Irish SMEs, has appointed Ala Browne as Business Development Manager for the Greater Dublin area and Eastern Ireland.

In his role, Ala will be working closely with business owners and their trusted advisors to share his decade of experience in building relationships and providing financial solutions for SMEs. As the Greater Dublin area and East of Ireland is a significant area for Bibby Financial Services Ireland, Ala will act as a dedicated local resource to help meet SME’s funding requirements in the region.

Ala joined Bibby Financial Services Ireland five years ago as Relationship Manager, and most recently held the role of Relationship Management Team Lead. Prior to joining Bibby Financial Services Ireland, he spent six years with Allied Irish Bank in relationship manager roles across a number of sectors, utilising his strong financial understanding and communication skills to ensure client satisfaction and efficiently allocate resources.

With a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Galway, Ala’s core skillset includes financial analysis, credit risk and analysis and portfolio management, with particular expertise in increasing funding facilities, international trade, Mergers & Acquisition activity as well as refinance. Given his relationship building acumen as well as his extensive experience of working closely with clients across a wide range of sectors, Ala will be a very valuable asset to SME’s in the region who want to understand exactly what funding options are available to them.

Ala will work alongside the other Business Development Managers at Bibby Financial Services Ireland. The team includes Stephen McCarthy, Head of Business Development with responsibility for the Munster region, and Carmel Mulroe who oversees the West of Ireland, Northern Ireland and the midlands area. Prior to her appointment at Bibby Financial Services Ireland earlier this year, Carmel worked with Ulster Bank for 20+ years and was consistently recognised as their number one performing Business Development Manager as a result of her commitment to working with SME’s nationwide to facilitate their continued growth and expansion.
